Hi, I’m Rachel, the face behind Miss Mophead ✨

Miss Mophead is a small, independent cleaning business based in Merthyr Tydfil, run by me and my fiancé, Jake.-

I started my cleaning business back in October 2023 as a partnership under a different name. In 2024, I went through a rebrand and Miss Mophead was born. Since then, we’ve grown the business together and created something that we’re both really proud of.

We’re both diagnosed ADHD, and I think that’s one of the reasons we understand that life doesn’t always go to plan. Homes get messy, routines change and sometimes things just get on top of you. Whatever your reason for needing a cleaner, there’s no judgement here.

My own experience was actually a big part of why Miss Mophead came about. After experiencing burnout in a previous job, I found myself struggling to keep on top of things at home. I’d also had a few disappointing experiences with other cleaning companies, and it made me realise there was a real need for a service that was reliable, thorough and genuinely personal.

I’m a very laid-back person, but I have high standards when it comes to my work. I care about the little details, I care about the people behind the homes we clean, and I want every client to feel comfortable and looked after.

Jake and I make a great team, and we’ve built Miss Mophead around the things that matter to us — being reliable, doing a really good job, treating people with respect and making sure our clients feel listened to.

We’re not interested in being a typical cleaning company. We’re just two people who genuinely enjoy what we do, take pride in our work and want to make life a little easier for the people we work with.

Every home is different, and every client has different needs, so we take a person-centred approach to everything we do. No judgement, no awkwardness and no one-size-fits-all attitude — just a service that’s tailored to you and your home.

We absolutely love what we’ve created with Miss Mophead, and we’re so grateful to everyone who trusts us with their home. 🩷
